TARAF DEKALE

The Dekale is first of all a wonderful dancing machine gathering at least twelve musiciens from the Tire-Laine leaded by Arnaud Van Lancker ("Nono"). But the Dekale is also the resolutely energic and festive tones of the Klezmer, Gypsy, and oriental repertoires, coloured by creations. And the Dekale is finally a certain heat, the unequalled happiness of playing music.

CHEM'S Creation 2006

On the way for the Orient with this new creation of the Compagnie of Tire-Laine, into the heart of Arabian music and its multiple facets. Musicians take possession of modern Maroccain music repertoires, with Jewish and Gypsy, Arabo-Andalousian and Algerian Chaabi influences.
With CHEM'S, this is all the festive soul from the Mediterranean Basin that is honored.

THE COMPAGNIE OF TIRE-LAINE Our Collective is interested by World Musics : mixing nowadays musics and traditional sonorities: Gypsy, klezmer, Arabo-Andalousian, Traditional French Chanson, Electronic, Fairy Tales . We are composed of about 30 musicians distributed in 12 Bands. SOME HISTORY : Energic source of original musical scene from Lille, 'la Compagnie du Tire-Laine' is a collective of about thirty musiciens distributed into more or less ten bands. They all mix traditional musics (Gyspy, Klezmer, Musette, Gnawa, Arabo-Andalousian ) and new sonorities, performing on National and International stages: the Olympia, the Cabaret Sauvage in Paris, the Sziget Festival in Budapest, the Respect Festival in Pragues... Leaded by Arnaud Van Lancker ("Nono"), acordionist and emblematic figure, the tribe leads musical actions as much as social actions, defending the Gypsies condition. Tire-Laine also collaborates to various european creations with Veenfabriek in the Netherlands, Antigone's theater in Courtray, Belgium. We also work in France with the Prato (circus) or the National Center of the Art of Circus, training students to become performers. THE EVENT-MAKERS When Tire-Laine gets in the place, they dedicate the night to the musics they like to play and share it with public, keeping up the party into a festive and warm spirit ! Many unexpected surprises will wait for you during this travel into our universe from stage to stage. From tales to Gnawa music to Gypsy brass bands, shades of electro and 40's like ballroom will throw the public into a huge musical whirlpool ... You'll forget what time it is ! SWING GADJE Traveller of the modern ages, the epopee of Arnaud Van Lancker, known as 'Nono', and his band of 'gadges'continue the travel... F ive years of wanders since the first Swing Gadje album titled "Kriss Romani". "Partir", the new album is a fest to the Klezmer sonorities, Gypsy music, an Oriental coloured fusion of traditional and popular musics, musical atmospheres borrowed from the Oriental arabesques, sometimes intimist, sometimes luxuriant. Swing Gadje live is a real moment of joy, generosity, sensitivity and vital energy.

NEW DÉKALÉ The New Dékalé gathers eight musicians from the Compagnie of Tire-Laine. With wind instruments, accordion, guitar, and percussion instruments : this blithe mixing gives a repertoire mixing Klezmer music and Yiddish songs, with the amazing appearances of Amélie, our charming singer. LA CARAVANE ELECTRO They are the unconventional union between electro and Gypsy music, the accomplished fusion of traditional music, electronic beats, Indian dance and projected images. The live version of the Caravan is performed by four musiciens coming originally from the Rock scene, Hip Hop, World music,and a duo of programmers, an Indian sitar, a tablas performer from Pakistan and a toaster with an incredible flow. The touch of a plastician brings an additional visual dimension to the concert, and the performing of Manjushree, formed to the Indian dances of Bharata Natyam, brings an incredible sensual touch.	LA PANIKA A Gypsy-horns brass band resolutly inspired of the Gypsy Tarafs from Eastern Europe. This band of eight musiciens is composed of a horn section (saxophone, trumpet, horn, tubas, helicon), a percussionist, a banjo and an accordion. Festive and popular, this band was created both for brass band ambulation and a live scene.

From Bolero to Chacha, from Biguine to Samba, from Klezmer to crazy Gypsy, passing by French traditional chansons, all you need is to keep moving all night !	LES ENFANTS DU BAL / THE BALLROOM CHILDREN Wanna move your booty, sing and party whatever your age ? 'La Compagnie' re-invent the ball ! Fred Tétaert is the leader this time. Known as a great Gypsy-style guitar performer, he also gives voice to this Alternative-Gypsy ball. His rythms are emphasized by touches of Latino, Ska, Tango, Swing and Musette

LE BALCON / THE BALCONY An out of adjustment Orchestra that composes a colored mixing of Gnawa musics, Latino musics, Musette, Gipsy musiques or French Chanson. A popular song that has never been so appreciated than when it provides Oriental chords heat. More than just a Ball, the BALCONY is a story that we tell to each other all togather. For all the lovers of warm atmosphere and discovery, with family or friends. Album coming up in 2006.
